Scientific researchers have proven that tobacco, fatty foods, hard liquor and other indulgences aren't good for us. Here's some scientific research that suggests there's good reason to eat, drink and be merry.
Don't ask how they did the research, but a group of Australian researchers, led by Graham Giles of the Cancer Council Victoria, says frequent masturbation may reduce the risk of contracting prostate cancer. The researchers surveyed more than 1,000 men who had developed prostate cancer, and 1,250 men who had not. They found that men who had ejaculated the most between the ages of 20 and 50 were the least likely to get cancer.
Research from published in the
Journal of the American Medical Association confirms that people who carry a few extra pounds have a lower risk of death than those who are normal weight or extremely underweight. So, go ahead, eat an extra bagel. But just one extra bagel.
A study reported in the
New York Times conducted at the University of Rochester Medical Center concludes that overweight children have healthier teeth than average weight kids. Researchers analyzed data from nearly 18,000 young dental patents. Eat up, fatso!
