Don't ask -- I don't know myself, but this bizarre "atomic fish" isn't the only whale of a tale in the famous Ripley's collection.
Strikingly True has the bizarre story of the red crabs of Christmas Island: Every year, 100 million of the critters leave the inland forest where they live for the sea -- for breeding purposes, of course.
The entire island is red with crawling crabs -- causing roads to close so the crustaceans can make it to the see safely... and then back in to their forest home when the deed is done.
