Is Pole Dancing the Olympic Sport of the Near Future?

Naked Tour de FranceYou have to be pretty fit to make in the world of pole dancing... but are pole-dancers world-class athletes?

The International Pole Sports Federation says "YES!" (shortly after stuffing a buck into my g-string), and they want to prove it on the big stage by showing off at the Olympics.

And I don't mean after hours at some unofficial venues a few blocks from the arenas.

According to David Moye of the Huffington Post, there's a push to get strippers... er... dancers on the pole in time for the 2016 Games as an official Olympic sport.

But even some of the sport's top athletes say it's not going to happen.

"My stance has always been that while I support the pole community's efforts to get pole into the Olympics, I don't think the general public is ready for the sport yet on such a mainstream/public scale," U.S. National Pole Dancing Champion Natasha Wang told Moye.

On the other hand, pole dancing wouldn't be the weirdest sport ever to make the Olympics -- not when the Games have given medals for pigeon shooting, tug of war and rhythmic gymnastics. Check out the full list of Weirdest Summer Olympic Sports here.

why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different browsers and both show the same results.
