He's supposed to be a real-life "Batman," but police in Michigan say he's just plain batty. Mark Wayne William, 31, was found earlier this year dangling by his cape and armed with a baton, a canister of a chemical irritant spray and lead-lined gloves.
Now, he's looked at six months' probation -- and he won't be allowed to dress as Batman at all during the sentence.
Williams is known as "The Petoskey Batman" after the Michigan town he believes he's keeping safe from crime -- and as reported on the Huffington Post Web site, his antics have earned him more than 4,000 fans on Facebook.
Batman isn't the only one in trouble with the law -- Spider-Man, or at least a man dressed as Spider-Man, was also arrested this week.
See them both and so much more in This Week in Weird Crime.
