Free the Naked Coffee Drinker! (And Join the Nude Coffee Movement)

Friday October 23, 2009
Eric Williamson Mug ShotIf you've ever wandered your own home nude, take a good look at this mug shot -- because it could be you.

Eric Williamson was arrested for the crime of drinking a cup of coffee in the nude in his own home... because a woman and a child cutting through his front yard happened to see him in the window.

I'm drinking a cup of coffee in the nude right now... and it's a lot easier to see me, especially if you live in a certain high-priced piece of Trump real estate that was placed between me and my view of the Hudson River.

I call on all decent people out there to take a pledge to drink coffee in the nude every day until Williamson is cleared. Drop your pants until the charges are dropped... just do it in your own home (and watch out for potential burns). Write a message in the comments so that I know who's with me.

We're here, we're nude... and we're in our own homes, so leave us alone.

Phillip Ortega Mug ShotIn other nude news, here's a man who's truly earned his position in the Weird Crime Mug Shot Hall of Shame.

If the point of cross-dressing is to make people think you're a member of the opposite sex, Phillip Ortega didn't seem to get the message.

Police say Ortega -- who probably wasn't fooling anyone in his woman's swimsuit, pantyhose and makeup -- removed all doubt when he exposed his genitals to a woman in Oklahoma City, according to the The Oklahoman.

(1) It's Me says:

The woman should get arrested for trespassing AND he should sue her for invasion of privacy. She crossed his yard… his property… You do that. You take your chances.

(4) Nathan Powers says:

I already make and drink my morning coffee in the nude. I also make breakfast and lunch for the kids, feed the cats and dogs, do the dishes, take out the trash and check my email, all without the need for clothing… at least until winter comes along. :(

LET HIM GO!!!!!!!

ARREST HER INSTEAD!!!!!

(5) Manda Morris says:

The woman who called the police is THE WIFE OF ONE OF THE COPS! That’s the only reason these busted down his door and dragged him out of his bedroom. The cop needs to be fired for abusing his job.

(6) JFD8 says:

Busted for one woman’s nagging,
Coffee Guy set tongues a-wagging;
He legally brewed
At home in the nude
Rather than public teabagging.

(7) Paige says:

LOVE JFD8’s little poem!!! I don’t even drink coffee but I will now just to be naked while doing it. Another thing, it’s a good thing no one has peeked in my windows because I would probably end up being in prison for life for my nudity!!

(8) DougJ says:

The police entered his house without permission, insulted the guy, and arrested him.

How about the lady who trespassed on his property, and performed her own act of voyeurism? When does she get arrested?

I took a naked shower this morning. So happy she wasn’t around!

October 25, 2009 at 9:06 am
(9) Meme says:

I heard that the woman who saw him nude was a police officer’s wife.

October 25, 2009 at 4:16 pm
(10) me says:

Just wanted to point out that the woman who was trespassing before she reported him was the wife of a Fairfax County Police Officer.

October 25, 2009 at 6:00 pm
(11) Eric says:

What the crap???

So the lady breaks the law trespassing on his property, then instead of just moving along after they see a naked man enjoying his coffee, they turn HIM in?

He can make the same accusation that she intentionally came on his property in the hopes of seeing him naked because she knew his daily habits, which would mean child services need to get involved because she brought a 7 year old with her.

See how ridiculous accusations can be?
Is it the lady now pressing the charges or the police department? Because thats a waste of money.

We’re here, we’re nude… and we’re in our own homes, so leave us alone.

(12) marco says:

The guy’s name is plastered all over the internet. Just what is the woman’s name? I certainly don’t want my family to encounter this schizo trespasser. Even by her own account, she made an effort to peep in on him.

(13) happy_thougths says:

Had the genders been reversed and it was a woman in the nude at home brewing some coffee, and a man had walked up to her house and caught her nude, well then wouldn’t that make the man a peeping tom? I hate double standards like that (and yes I’m a girl).

October 26, 2009 at 5:21 pm
(14) Rose says:

Basically, one would call me a bit of a prude. Atleast when it comes to myself and raising my teenage daughter. In 2 years I have to set her free to fly in this world. Should she fly close enough to see a young man (or old man) drinking coffee in the nude, in his own home, and then complain to me….I would have to say, “Sweetie, first of all, I told you not to fly so close to glass, and furthermore, you know better than to look into other people’s homes. Their drapes are open to let sunshine in, not so their home can become a “Real-time Reality Show”.

(15) janeen says:

I have heard of some ridiculus accusations, but this
is absolutely absurd! The woman was certainly in
the wrong for walking on his property and had no
right to look in his window and find fault with his
lack of clothing. It’s his home – he has the right
to be in the nude. What is this world coming to?
I also fully agree with the statement made
concerning if it were a woman in the nude and
a man had “peeped”. Unbelievable!! Those
charges most definitely need to be dropped.

(16) valerie says:

its his home so he can do what he feels like doing in it.

October 27, 2009 at 10:35 pm
(17) leelee says:

what a crock. this man needs to sue. someone contact him and lets take up a collection for legal fees. we are all naked-under our clothes- double standards suck.

We’re here, we’re nude… and we’re in our own homes, so leave us alone.

(18) pegapooh2000 says:

Um, if she’s peeking through other people’s windows shouldn’t she be the one arrested … even if she’s a police officer’s wife … although I think my children would be grossed out and in shock if I actually did this, tomorrow I will drink my coffee in the nude, even if it’s only in my mind!! How crazy … let the man free!!!!

October 29, 2009 at 1:28 pm
(19) Lily says:

Um- I totally agree with everyone that said the woman should be arrested for being a peeping Tom. That’s ridiculous!

Thanks,
Lily

(20) swissman says:

…genau desshalb werde ich NIEMALS nach amerika gehen…die eigene wohnung und das eigene land ist SEIN EIGENTUM – die frau sollte verurteilt werden weil sie ihr kind gezwungen hat durch das fenster zu sehen!

in google-english:
… well, therefore I will NEVER go to America … own apartment and their own land is his property – the woman should be condemned because it has forced her child to see through the window!

(21) Megan says:

This poor guy! Let’s just arrest every naked person in the world while we are at it. It isn’t like he committed a crime. Was he in a glass house next to a day care? If not, he has nothing to be ashamed of. How that cup up high Mr. Naked Coffee drinker!

November 7, 2009 at 9:33 pm
(22) Savage Behavior says:

I just thought of a way this can be resolved. President Obama got that police officer and the professor to make up & be friends. Maybe he could invite naked guy & the nosy lady to the White House. They could all get naked & have a beer while sitting in the rose garden. It might work, ‘ya think?

November 18, 2009 at 5:36 pm
(23) Sheryl says:

Usually am clad only in undies while coffee drinking. From now on it’s all bare. I dare any voyeuristic neighbors to peep in my window.
Please release this man!

November 21, 2009 at 12:45 pm
(24) Johnwayne says:

It’s his house, so he can do whatever inside HIS house!
And he’s not running outside naked to frighten his neighbors or passerbys….

He has the right to remain silent….& naked in his home, period!
