It's October. The leaves are turning. The Yankees are in the American League Championship series. All is good in the world.
I was fortunate enough to have had lunch last week with Fritz Peterson. The infamous Yankee pitcher who traded his wife, his children, his home and even his dog to another Yankee pitcher.
Back in 1973, Peterson and teammate Mike Kekich were a media sensation -- and symbolic, to some, that the sexual revolution had gone too far.
I interviewed Peterson for America Online, and I found, among other things, that 36 years later, he's still with the same woman. And he's also become a devote evangelical Christian.
If you're looking for more weird tales about the Yankees. Check out this piece on Babe Ruth, which includes a look into the Bambino's sex life.
As for today's Yankees, did you know that Jorge Posada likes to urinate on his hands and that Hideki Matsui is the proud owner of a massive collection of porn?
It's amazing the things you learn when you obsess over baseball.

Still with the same woman? Which woman? His wife, or Kekich’s wife?
Strange!
