Chewing Gum Dog

Most dogs shed on their owners' carpet. This little critter is made from the owner's own hair . . . and that's not even the most disturbing part.

British artist Gareth Williams used chewing gum (which I presume came from his own mouth) to fashion this creation, "I Say, I Say, I Say." It was unveiled Wednesday at the Royal College of Art Sculpture Show, and you've got to see it up close in our weird art gallery.

Other recent additions to the weird art collection: Germany's Walkable Bowl, a 65-foot little girl's head known as St. Helens' Dream , and North Carolina's "Salute to Chocolate."

The folks at SLO Walking Tours take San Luis Obispo, CA visitors to Bubble Gum Alley, which features not an artistic gum dog but a self-portrait (on a brick wall) made entirely from bubble gum. You can see it here.
