Sarah Palin's 'ILF-ish' Appeal

Let's leave aside Sarah Palin's qualifications, her stand on civil liberties, and what her run for the vice presidency means for women of America, and consider this: She's an instant Internet phenomena.

Like wildfire -- or even Hurricane Gustav -- websites are popping up to pay honor to Alaska's Governor, a proud member of the NRA and former beauty queen. Welcome to VPILF.com.

And if you don't know what "ILF" stands for, I suggest you watch -- or re-watch -- American Pie. I'm not saying Palin has ILF-ish appeal, but Dick Cheney definitely doesn't. And she's hardly to blame for injecting a little sex into the campaign. A poll a few months ago reflected that female voters wanted to see Barack Obama naked.
