Dog Cloning Woman Now Admits to Abducting Mormon Missionary
Bernnan McKinney -- the woman who made headlines last week for cloning her pit bull, Booger -- is not just crazy about her pet.
She's now admitting that she's the woman who became a tabloid sensation in 1977, when she was charged with kidnapping a Mormon missionary on the steps of a church, chloroforming him, tying him up with fur (mink!) handcuffs, and allegedly forcing him to have sex.
Before jumping bail in Britain she was known as "Joyce McKinney." Three decades later, after she hoisted her $53,000 cloned pups at a press conference in South Korea, British tabloids were hot on her trail.
She now admits to the Associated Press that she is indeed the same woman -- and is tired of all the "garbage," of people obsessing over her.
"I thought people would be honest enough to see me as a person who was trying to do something good and not as a celebrity," McKinney told the AP. "My mother always taught me, 'Say something good or say nothing at all."'
With that said, I'm forced to think of saying something good about this woman. Let's see . . . hmmmm . . . Ummm . . . I guess she's not boring.
