Toy soldiers don’t die – your mother just throws them away. But maybe that’s a good thing.

Sure, a classic 12-inch GI Joe (with kung-fu grip!) fetches big bucks on eBay. But the boys who turn into men and still keep their mint condition dolls – ahem, I mean “action figures” -- at their bedside turn into the type you find in Full Grown Men, the latest indie film to explore the lives of men who never grew up.

Matt McGrath stars as Alby, who leaves his wife, bag of Action Jacksons in hand, and heads to a Disney-like theme park with childhood pal Judah Friedlander, meeting Alan Cumming, Deborah Harry and Amy Sedaris along the way.

While many parents today don’t let their kids play with toy guns, they still let them play with shoot ‘em up action figures who tote guns. Go figure.
