Students Punished for Cat Eating (Yes, Cat Eating!)
Here’s a good way to garner no sympathy for your cause –- eat a cuddly little pussycat.
When you hear of what some misguided journalism students from Denmark did on Facebook, it makes you long for the good old day when groups like PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) would dose women with paint for wearing fur.
To protest the plight of food animals like pigs and cows, these students posted 30 not-so-tasty pictures of themselves cooking and eating a cat.
The feral cat had been shot by a farmer before it ended up on the kids’ supper table, according to The Copenhagen Post. Facebook removed 30 pictures of the ordeal, but the students say their point shouldn’t be lost.
“It's hypocritical for us to spend thousands of kroner on our pets, yet buy the cheapest pork ,” one student told the paper. “And just why is it that it's worse to eat a cat than a pig?”
Sadly, we do know what cat now tastes like “a little like chicken” and “slightly chewy,” at least according to a kid who has no taste at all.

I heard eating cats it’s good for some reasons,but I don’t know why.
I have to say I agree with them… why is it any different?
Why is it any different? Open the Bible to Leviticus 11, which doesn’t exactly say “why”, so go look up Trichinosis.
The cat was already dead, this is true, however the fact that the kids had to put the pictures up on a website, prooves they are nothing more then attention whores. And it is different because these animals are kept as domestic pets and companions. A pig is not. Most pigs don’t want to cuddle in bed with you, set on your lap while you watch television, etc….
They do have a point. Horsemeat eaters are also taboo. We eat beef but refuse to accept the way the cows are raised; in rooms so small they cannot even turn around or sit down. I’d eat a cat.
what about cats eating students?
ther is nothing wrong with eating ANY animal, i mean what if the shoe were on the other foot…paw..whatever you know they would eat us no matter how bad we tasted, but just because i say it is ok to eat ANY animal does not mean its ok to use them for shock media which is one of the reasons i gave up on tv, and now they are using it to just try to read this sux the world we live in is rotten

Unfortunately, it’s easy for us to poo-poo the intelligence and companionability of animals we’re not familiar with.

Give me a break it was a feral cat who was shot by a farmer, not someone’s pet! Just because you find it “disgusting” doesn’t mean it can’t be eaten! Many countries eat animals you wouldn’t even dream of eating! If I was starving I would eat a cat!! Ohh yes I would! What’s the saying? “survival of the fittest!” I’ve eaten horse, and it is very similar to Beef, well it’s a little tougher! YuM!!!
It doesn’t make a difference whether someone eats bugs, plants, pigs, cows, or a cat. LIFE IS LIFE… It’s as simple as that!

Well, well, well……. if it is soooooooo o.k. to eat a cat, why do you barbarians eat your brothers and sisters, mothers fathers uncles aunts etc. why not yoirself?? Have a little burnt barbecue arm tonite. Tomorrow night slice off a piece of your thigh, cube it, marinade it, slap in a cup of your blood running down your juicy thigh, and show us in detail how you cooked it and ate. The next night ask your sister to eat with u, take your knife and fork, and slice open the top of her head and have raw brain’s. Full of protein!!

How do you think Hindus feel about us eating cows, which they hold sacred? Also, to the person who said pigs aren’t kept as pets, that is, forgive my pun, hog wash. Many people keep pigs as companion animals and many scientists agree that pigs are extremely intelligent. T
his was a feral cat, and it was dead already. Better to not waste it. I am a vegetarian and I respect these kids far more than I respect anyone here who purchases meat from factory farms. Obviously, from all of your reactions, they are proving a point, eh?
