3rd Grader Suspended for Sniffing Sharpie

An 8-year-old from Colorado was suspend because school officials believe he was trying to get high by sniffing the fumes of a Sharpie marker.

Is this another case of an anti-drug rule taken to a ridiculous extreme? That what the boy's father is saying. He claims his son "didn't know better." But the school's principal says he wants to send a "clear message."

Well, sharpies are known for their clarity.
